Grow With Newman

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Grow With Newman collects, why, and what you can do about it. Grow With Newman is run by Newman Thomas from Auckland, New Zealand, and works with business owners around the world. We follow the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, where they apply to you, privacy laws such as the GDPR (European Union and United Kingdom).

What we collect

  • Your account: your name, email address, mobile number and password (stored encrypted).
  • Your business: business name, website, industry, time in business, team size and revenue range.
  • What you do in the member portal: your growth plan progress, growth audit answers, and the plans you have.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We see what you bought, the amount and a Stripe reference. We never see or store your card number.
  • Sessions: live sessions and calls run on Zoom. If a session is recorded for replays, we’ll say so at the start.
  • Messages: the emails and texts we send you and any replies you send back.
  • Technical information: login cookies and standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type).

Why we use it

  • To create and run your account and member portal.
  • To deliver the programs, sessions and audits you sign up for, and to schedule Zoom calls across time zones.
  • To take payments and keep business records.
  • To send you messages about your account, sessions and growth plan by email and SMS. You can opt out of non-essential messages at any time: use the unsubscribe link, or reply STOP to a text.
  • To improve the website and our programs.

If GDPR applies to you, our legal bases are: performing our agreement with you, our legitimate interest in running and improving the business, meeting legal obligations, and your consent where we ask for it (you can withdraw consent at any time).

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the business, under their own privacy terms:

  • Stripe, for payments.
  • Zoom, for live sessions and calls.
  • Our website host and email and SMS providers, to run the site and send messages.
  • Professional advisers (such as an accountant) when needed, and authorities when the law requires it.

Some of these providers store information outside your country, including in New Zealand, Australia, the United States and Europe. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Cookies

We use cookies that keep you logged in and keep the site working. Embedded videos load from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and fonts load from Google Fonts; those services may record your IP address. We don’t use advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your account information while your account is open. If you close it, we delete or anonymise your information within 90 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment and tax records, usually seven years in New Zealand).

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere. Email us and we’ll reply within 20 working days. You can update most details yourself in your member portal under Profile.

If you’re not happy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the New Zealand Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz) or the data protection authority where you live.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted passwords and access controls, and we only give access to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach that could cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Children

Our services are for business owners aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes and contact

We’ll update this page if our practices change, and tell members about significant changes. Questions or requests: newth542@gmail.com.
